Terry Trecartin

I have been happily married to my wife, Shannon Trecartin for 14 years. Over the years she and I have both been involved with several different Pathfinder clubs even in a couple different states because of how we have moved around. We feel strongly that God has been guiding us throughout our lives and through these different moves and experiences. It has given us an appreciation for a much wider view of Pathfindering.

I have been using a wheelchair to get around and do things for the last 12 years. There is an amazing story behind what happened to put me in this chair but you'll have to ask me about that another time! Suffice it to say, it was just one more huge evidence to me that God loved me and had a purpose for my life. Since then I have been and am involved in several different disability ministries. God has blessed and my wife and I have been able to attend three of the last International Pathfinder Camporees, the last two using a wheelchair. I feel that we have a somewhat broad experience to share in this aspect because one of those years we stayed in a nearby hotel and the other one we camped with our Pathfinder club. There were benefits and downfalls to each of these experiences and I am excited to bring what I know from this to be able to help others if they have questions about these things.

My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 118:17; I didn’t die. I lived! And now I’m telling the world what God did (for me!) Psalm 118:17 The Message
