Greywater Stations

Medical Breathing Devices (CPAP)

At each Camporee there are individuals that use special breathing machines while they sleep. We are suggesting you bring your own power source such as a battery pack breathing unit, as there is no special camping area just for breathing machines. A large percentage of the campground has electrical power outlets in camping areas.

Anyone with this type of need should contact Vern Byrd at vern@cye.org for possible accommodations. If prior accommodations are not made, you will have to make your own arrangements to stay at a local hotel.

Special Needs

Those needing extra help to move about the Camporee grounds should contact their local conference youth director, who have access to golf carts. Individuals with special needs are permitted to bring one-seat personal electric convenience scooter, as long as it is designed for use by a single person and is used this way.

If you would like to rent a one-seat personal electric convenience scooter or wheelchair please visit Scootaround website.

Chosen Camporee does not endorse any business or companies renting equipment.

See what services are provided for those with special needs.

Services Not Provided

Private off-site excursions
Transportation to/from local air, bus, and rail station

Please contact Terry Trecartin, Special Needs Coordinator, with any questions.

Port-o-lets

Port-o-let placement around the campgrounds will be no farther than 15-20 feet from any campsite. There will be several hundred port-o-lets placed throughout the campground and activity areas. Port-o-lets will be cleaned daily by our port-o-let vendor.

Please do not place any items in the port-o-lets such as clothing, trash, food, etc. Putting anything but human waste, toilet paper, and feminine hygiene products into the port-o-lets clogs the pumping mechanisms and makes it all but impossible for our waste vendor to maintain port-o-lets during the Camporee. “If it wasn’t in your body, don’t put it in the potty!”

Reusable Camping Equipment & Leftover Food Items

If you have attended a past camporee, you may have seen a large number of tents, chairs, sleeping bags etc. in or near the dumpsters at the end of camporee. We are hoping to change that this year!

Because many clubs pre-order and pick up their gear in Oshkosh, they are unable to take it with them as they return home. If your club is one of those, please consider donating it by placing it at one of the designated collection sites. Plans are being made to have enclosed trailers on the grounds to receive any reusable camping gear, which will then be donated, some to homeless/street ministries in the area, and some to the group that will be going to Cuba to help organize Pathfinder clubs there.

If you know your club will be leaving camping gear, please email Becky with information regarding what you will be donating, and how much, at beckyz1228@gmail.com as this will facilitate plans for adequate collection sites on the grounds.

Leftover food items will also be collected and can be dropped off at the same collection sites. Food collected will be sorted and distributed to area food pantries.

This is a great way to bless others as you prepare to leave Oshkosh.

Equipment accepted:

Camping gear such as tents, shelters, sleeping bags, chairs, coolers, etc.

Non-perishable food items accepted:

Canned or boxed food, produce such as potatoes, watermelon, unopened bread products, juice boxes, water bottles, etc.

Items NOT ACCEPTED:

We will not accept any open/unsealed food items, such as milk, bread etc., or broken equipment.

Collection sites, days & times:
