Gene Clapp
Gene Clapp is our Special Events Coordinator and serves as the North American Division Pathfinder Bible Experience Coordinator. Gene has a long history with Pathfinders, serving as the Texas Conference Pathfinder Director for 16 years, helping to coordinate the Pathfinder program in the Southwestern Union. Gene has directed 16 Conference Camporees that regularly topped 4000 attendees, as well as directed 3 Southwestern Union Pathfinder Camporees that topped 5000 at its largest.
He and his wife Sherry have served at all levels of Pathfinders, from club counselor to club director, Area Coordinator, Conference TLT Director, and so on. They regular teach Pathfinder Leadership classes within Conference and at Division training events. Gene has also served on the Oshkosh Camporee Committees, including, 2009, 2014 and now 2019.
Gene is also the pastor of the Waco SDA Church in Waco, Texas and Sherry is a teacher at the Cleburne Adventist Church School in Cleburne, Texas.
