Travel to Camporee
It is your responsibility to make travel arrangements to get to the International Camporee. We provide you with travel resources to aid in booking the method of travel that works best for you. Clubs may find it useful to book through a travel agent to find the best available options.
Travel Resources - Travel Agents, Planes, Trains, Buses, & RV Rentals
Insurance & Pathfinder Safety Resources - Adventist Risk Management
As you plan for the 2019 Chosen International Pathfinder Camporee, it is important to budget for the cost of travel insurance. All clubs must purchase travel insurance or get confirmation, in writing, from their Conference, the Conference will cover their travel insurance cost.
US-based clubs: Create your account here!
Non-US based clubs: Create your account here!
Please make sure that all pathfinders and the adult sponsors have insurance in the event that medical treatment is needed at a local facility. You will be responsible for medical bills if you do not have insurance.
It is required that every person attending the Camporee have travel insurance, whether that be through Adventist Risk Management or another personal insurance policy.
The Camporee insurance for US based clubs purchased through Adventist Risk Management will pay medical expenses for injuries sustained due to an accident. However, it is not designed to take the place of healthcare coverage and does not provide coverage for sickness/illness. You should still bring your own healthcare card for sickness/illness.
For clubs based outside of the US, the Camporee insurance purchased through Adventist Risk Management will pay medical expenses including accident, sickness/illness, and more to the limits of the policy.
In short, the recommended insurance configuration is as follows:
US based participants:
Camporee Insurance - for accidents
Your healthcare card - for sickness/illness
For non-US based participants:
Camporee Insurance - includes accident & sickness/illness

Reusable Camping Equipment & Leftover Food Items
If you have attended a past camporee, you may have seen a large number of tents, chairs, sleeping bags etc. in or near the dumpsters at the end of camporee. We are hoping to change that this year!
Because many clubs pre-order and pick up their gear in Oshkosh, they are unable to take it with them as they return home. If your club is one of those, please consider donating it by placing it at one of the designated collection sites. Plans are being made to have enclosed trailers on the grounds to receive any reusable camping gear, which will then be donated, some to homeless/street ministries in the area, and some to the group that will be going to Cuba to help organize Pathfinder clubs there.
If you know your club will be leaving camping gear, please email Becky with information regarding what you will be donating, and how much, at email@example.com as this will facilitate plans for adequate collection sites on the grounds.
Leftover food items will also be collected and can be dropped off at the same collection sites. Food collected will be sorted and distributed to area food pantries.
This is a great way to bless others as you prepare to leave Oshkosh.
Camping gear such as tents, shelters, sleeping bags, chairs, coolers, etc.
Non-perishable food items accepted:
Canned or boxed food, produce such as potatoes, watermelon, unopened bread products, juice boxes, water bottles, etc.
Items NOT ACCEPTED:
We will not accept any open/unsealed food items, such as milk, bread etc., or broken equipment.
Collection sites, days & times:
- Sites: One located near the International Village, and the other near the South gate. These trailers will be on-site all week.
- Days: Collections received on Saturday and Sunday
- Times: Open at 2:00pm on Saturday and they will be open for collection continuously through Sunday afternoon.
