TLT Volunteer Information
Teen Leadership Training (TLT) Volunteer Opportunities
If you are a Teen Leader in Training (TLT or LIT) in grades 9-12 you are invited to hang out with your TLT Mentor and other teens at the CIC TLT Headquarters. Plan to use your God-given talents as a teen leader and volunteer at the Camporee with other TLTs from around the North American Division.
TLT Headquarters at the Higher Education Hangar – Special Features
- TLT Hangout Area with refreshments – for TLTs and mentors to stop by and network together
- Meet College/University leaders who may have scholarships to offer TLTs
- Meet World & Division Youth/Pathfinder Directors
- Meet NAD & Union Church leaders – schedule for Sabbath afternoon 3-5 pm
- TLT Volunteer Check-in – this must be done prior to volunteering for each 4-hour block
- Hours of Operation - Tues 1:00-5:00 pm, Wed.-Fri. 9:00 am-5:00 pm, Sabbath 1:00-5:00 pm
To volunteer and receive a special Teen Volunteer Camporee Pin for your Pathfinder sash you must:
- Be approved as a TLT with your Club and registered with your Conference Pathfinder department (see TLT Application Form in the TLT Directors Guide)
- Purchase your Camporee ticket (if you haven't you won't be able to register to volunteer)
- Register as a TLT Volunteer on the Camporee website to serve a minimum of 4 hours during the 5-day Camporee
- The online TLT Volunteer Application closes on July 31, so please fill it out ASAP if you want to volunteer at the camporee.
- If you miss out on completing the online TLT Volunteer Application, come to the CIC TLT headquarters in Hangar C as soon as you arrive to sign up for some shifts to work.
TLT Volunteer Times in 4-hour Blocks
- TLTs sign up for a minimum of one morning or afternoon 4-hour block to receive the CIC TLT Pin
- Monday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM & 1:00 PM to 6:00 pm (Red Barn & West Camp Store Ice Sales)
- Tuesday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday - Friday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM & 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Sabbath: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- TLTs and TLT Mentors may volunteer together
- TLTs and TLT Mentors that volunteer for a minimum of 4 hours will receive a CIC TLT volunteer pin
- TLTs and TLT Mentors that volunteer for a minimum of 16 hours will receive a CIC TLT volunteer t-shirt
Sabbath Worship Offering Collection
- TLTs collect Sabbath Morning Offering (Additional pre-sign-up and practice is required)
Volunteer Areas – must register and check-in at the TLT Headquarters – TLTs to wear the red TLT t-shirt
- Adventist Youth Ministry Museum Volunteer – be trained as a host and share youth history (12-15 per 4-hour shifts)
- BraveHeart Kids Village – assist with leading music, games, crafts, activities for children ages 4-9 (6-10 per 4-hour shift)
- Camporee Operations – assist in various areas to help with the operations of the camporee (safety, medical, communications, errands, daily parades, Half Marathon 10K 5K, …)
- Food Court – assist food vendors and bus tables as needed (2 per 4-hour shift)
- Honor teaching with your Conference – assist teaching an honor with your conference leaders
- On-site Activities with your Conference or Union – assist with your conference or union leaders
- Red Barn Store – assist with ice sale unloading/loading (2 per 5-hour shift)
- West Camp Store (near west Main Entrance) – assist with Ice sales unloading/loading (2 per 5-hour shift)
The online TLT Volunteer Application has closed. If you weren't able to fill this form out and you still want to volunteer, come to the CIC TLT headquarters in Hangar C when you arrive at the Camporee. Thank you!
