International Village Camper Information
The International Village will be the community space where International guests who do not wish to be hosted can set up their own camp, providing their own tents and food. We call this group 'non-hosted international guests'. This information is all about how to enjoy your stay and be a good neighbor while living together in the International Village.
WE’RE HERE TO HELP!
The International Guest team will help make your Camporee experience memorable and safe. Feel free to ask the International Village Host or any of the International guest staff team whenever you need help.
Glynis Bradfield - is the International Guest Coordinator who will be leading the team supporting around 2,500 international guests.
Néstor Osmán - is the International Guest Associate Coordinator who will likely assist you in making hosting arrangements and answering emails.
WHAT NON-HOSTED INTERNATIONAL GUESTS NEED TO BRING
International guests who choose not to be hosted will be responsible for all food and cooking supplies, as well as accommodation needs. All international guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements and expenses before and after Camporee, as well as bedding and personal items for use at Camporee.
Non-hosted guests may request camping space in the International Village. Clearly indicate the number of people in your group when you register and keep the International Guest Coordinator informed of changes to ensure your group is assigned appropriate camping space. INFORMATION CENTER
The Assembly Tent is the center for worships, cultural activities, and information. Check the bulletin boards often for “need to know” information. If you need to leave a note for another International guest, use the paper and pens available and pin to the board.
BATHROOMS
Showers and toilets are provided throughout the campground. Prepare to shower quickly. Do not use the shower as a toilet. Used toilet paper is to be thrown in the toilet. Wash hands regularly. Staff are to go with Pathfinders under 18 years of age to the shower houses to keep them safe and make sure they follow the rules posted on the walls.
NIGHT-TIME ACCIDENTS
Accidents can happen at camp. If clothing or sleeping bags become soiled, there are 24-hour Laundromats available in Oshkosh. Locations are posted at the assembly bulletin boards. Instruct your Pathfinders to treat each other with respect and courtesy at all times.
QUIET TIME
Each Camporee day is full of exciting and tiring activities. Staff and pathfinders need adequate rest to avoid sickness. We ask that the village become quiet at 11:00 PM week nights and midnight Saturday night. Stop all loud talking, singing, recorded music, or noise that will wake your neighbors.
VALUABLES
Pathfinders can easily lose money, cameras, watches, important medications, etc. in the tumble world of tent camping. We recommend that you leave travel documents and valuable items with your group leader. You have come a long way and it will be a big disappointment to lose anything. Help each other protect your valuables. If you do lose something, check at the Lost & Found building located across from the Registration Building.
MEDICAL NEEDS
Medical help for all ages is available 24 hours at the Medical Center located on the Camporee grounds. Information is posted at the assembly tent. If any medical problem arises, go get help right away.
COOKING
The “Eat-n-Greet” tent is reserved for cooking and eating. No camping is allowed in this tent even if the weather is bad. Tables are available to set up your cooking area. Please be considerate of other groups, sharing the space. Check the bulletin boards in the assembly tent to learn where to get ice and grocery supplies at the Red Barn Store, on the Camporee grounds, or in the city of Oshkosh.
LIQUID & COMPRESSED (PROPANE) FUEL GUIDELINES 
Anyone using liquid and compressed fuels at the Camporee must read and comply with the Camporee guidelines for storing and handling these materials.

LEFT-OVER WATER
Water left over after preparing food, washing dishes, brushing teeth, personal cleaning etc. is called “gray water”. Please do not throw it on the ground. Food particles left in the water can attract flies! Pour your water into a container then take it to the areas marked for Gray Water dumping. Keep your campsite clean and sanitary!
CHAIRS
Chairs may be moved within the Eat-n-Greet and Cultural Activity tents. They may not be taken to your tent area or anywhere else.
GARBAGE
Garbage bins are provided throughout the village. Please dispose of all food scraps, paper goods, and any trash into these bins. Use covered containers to put garbage in or closed trash bags. Please do not throw any garbage onto the ground. Insect pests including harmful stinging insects will come to food garbage!
PATCHES
Each Pathfinder will be given a Camporee patch as they leave. Your patches may be collected from the International Village Host as soon as your camp area is inspected and approved as totally clean.
CAMPGROUND RULES
The Camporee rules are posted on the bulletin boards. Please become familiar with what our Camporee leadership expects. These are guidelines to help us all enjoy this wonderful experience together.
