Aurelia Rivas
Aurelia Sandra Rivas is serving as one of the Main Stage Associate Directors for Oshkosh 2019. Over the years she has worked as a Special Education School Social Worker, K-10 Spanish Teacher, and PreK-4 Music Teacher in the Adventist school system. She has also worked as a Hospice Social Worker and was a homeschool teacher for 4 years. Aurelia has served as director in various ministries and finds delight in keeping busy for the Lord. She has served as Adventurer Director and Pathfinder Director on a local level as well as Counselor to three Pathfinder clubs. Most recently, she served on the Board of Education for the Indiana Conference of SDA.
Though born and raised in Southern California, Aurelia considers herself a Michigander at heart! She graduated from Andrews University with her MSW and has resided in the Midwest ever since. She has been married to her college sweetheart Erick Rivas for 20 years. Together they are parents to their lovely daughter Alyssa. Her passion is serving God in any capacity that leads, develops, and builds up young people to a closer walk with Jesus! She looks forward to this remarkable adventure God has in store for our Pathfinders as we prepare for Oshkosh 2019.
